Financial services

Gibbons Mannington are licensed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales to provide certain limited investment services where these are complementary to or arise out of the professional accountancy services we are providing to you. If, you need advice on choosing investments, we will refer you to someone who is authorised by the Financial Services Authority, to select the most suitable products of the type.

What we can do for you?

Gibbons Mannington are a first port of call for the strategic financial plan. We can advise you on the tax implications of different types of investments and any tax liability that will arise on moving from one investment to another.

We always recommend that you use an Independent Financial Advisor, someone who is able to research the whole market for the investment that best suits you rather than someone who is authorised to sell only a limited range of investments. We will make sure that you get best advice. The more detailed and complete the information provided the better the advice is likely to be. Those authorised by the Financial Services Authority will be responsible for the advice they give to you, whether or not you share their recommendations with Gibbons Mannington. We can comment on the advice you are given and this is very reassuring and useful if your affairs are complicated and we as your accountants have the detailed background knowledge.

If required, we can introduce you to Stockbrokers, Insurance Brokers and Financial Advisors. We do not seek to disrupt any existing arrangements you have and will work with your chosen advisor. We charge fees for our work and any commissions are disclosed.  We do not receive commissions without your knowledge and permission. We can therefore provide advice that is in your best interest.

In order to ensure a high standard of service is available to our clients, Gibbons Mannington have a financial interest in Mayman Financial Services Limited, an independent financial advisor and a general insurance brokerage.
